Violet Voss came out with a gorgeous eyeshadow palette; entitled “Like a Boss”, consisting of 20 shades-ranging from mattes to foils. The colors range from neutrals, to some pops of color such as pink and dark green. This palette was made to be used for all seasons and every occasion. After trying my first Violet Voss eyeshadow palette, I must say I am a huge fan, and can’t wait to try out the other palettes from this brand.
The formula is super creamy, pigmented, with minimal to no fall out and encompasses dynamics hint of colors, such as “Girl Crush” which is a blinding yellow gold! The shadows are buildable, and blend seamlessly to create a stunning eye look every time.
Value This eyeshadow palette retails for $45 USD, each eyeshadow works out to $2.25 USD. Each eyeshadow is 1.8 g which is a very reasonably sized pan. For the quality the price is reasonable, and if you can find it on sale, it is definitely a must have.
Pigmentation Upon touching the eyeshadow with my brush and then my finger, I can confirm these are creamy and heavily pigmented. Application is like a dream!
Blendability These blend effortlessly, and upon using a blending brush the colors still remain pigmented, instead of blending away to nothing like many other eyeshadows do.
Longevity Long lasting, these don’t crease, and I honestly am very amazed at the staying power, even without an eyeshadow primer.
Packaging Sleek, cute and compact! The mirror is large and the size of the pans are perfect for dipping your brush into them.
Final thoughts: I was hesitant to try this palette because the colors weren’t exactly calling out my name… however when I tried the formula I was instantly in love with how amazing these eyeshadows are. I am a huge fan of eyeshadow that are easy to work with, as I find myself always on the go. Personally for me, it is not enjoyable to spend plenty of time trying to make eyeshadows work via excessive blending and lack of pigmentation. Especially not in this day and age where there are so many brands to choose from. This palette truly impressed me.
